Ascension is the ascent of Jesus Christ into heaven on the 40th day after his Resurrection (Easter being reckoned as the first day). The Solemnity of the Ascension of Jesus Christ, also called Ascension Day, Ascension Thursday, or sometimes Holy Thursday, commemorates the bodily Ascension of Jesus into Heaven. It is one of the ecumenical feasts, ranking with the feasts of the Passion and Pentecost.

That is that God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are united as three persons in one Godhead and share the same Divine Nature. It is celebrated on the first Sunday after Pentecost.
